The .300 Win. Mag., which was introduced in 1963, became a successstory worldwide. It is a true all-round cartridge with sufficient power for diverse forms of demanding hunting for hard to kill game. The .300 Win. Mag. is suitable for all cloven-hoofed game. GECO introduced the 170 gr GECO Softpoint bullet in 1996, over the years the 170 gr GECO Plus, the 165 gr GECO Express and the 136 gr GECO Zero (lead-free) followed. For competition or regular practice, the 147 gr GECO SPORT bullet is available in a user-friendly pack of 50.

Thousands of roe deer have been shot with the legendary GECO Softpoint bullet which is suitable for universal use and in almost any hunting situation. It responds reliably inthe game’s body and has good target ballistic effectiveness. The thin walled jacket of the bullet is the secret of this successful design, deformation is initiated by the marked leadtip and then the jacket responds to the increased resistance, even with heavy game the deformation process remains well controlled.
