"The next assault rifle evolution," is how Heckler & Koch describes the 5th generation of its successful HK416 series. As an AEG (Automatic Electric Gun), the HK416 A5 brings this claim to airsoft fields in 6mm BB caliber.
Its rightful place there is proven by its out-of-the-box competition readiness, featuring a MOSFET, tuning hop-up, and precision barrel. The latter has a diameter of just 6.03 mm and, in combination with the adjustable hop-up, delivers the 6mm BB with exceptional control to the muzzle, which has an M14x1 thread for tracer and suppressor attachments.
The magazine, with its current Generation 3 design, is a visual standout. It holds 120 rounds, but can also be switched to 30 rounds. Typical of the A5 version of the HK416, the controls are fully ambidextrous. The fire selector, bolt catch, and magazine release are ambidextrous, and a flip-up sight is mounted on the upper Picatinny quad rail.
